Although Game of Thrones will tell you winter is coming. It's not. It's here!! The cold, icy weather is known to cause problems with itchiness and dryness, especially amongst little ones. Here's a few tips to keep that skin supple and soft.
Make a layer cake baby
It’s only normal to want to wrap little ones up like an onion, when winter strikes. Annoyingly, skin irritations can arise if overheating occurs. Dress in easy to remove layers, to avoid any mishaps.
Protect against the elements
Using a pram cover allows you to get outside and soak up that (oh so freezing) crisp winter air. A cover also ensures protection against cols winds, which can lead to skin dryness.
Protect little pouts
Winter is the master of dry and chapped lips. Not only does it mean our lipstick goes all flaky, it means we need to be extra careful with babes. Especially for small children and drooling babies. Use some high quality balm to keep chapped lips at bay.
Bathe winter away
Baths, baths and more baths. For little ones ensure the bath ist just warm, not hot, and that they’re in there for not too long. Prolonged exposure to hot water can also induce a drying effect. Pat the sensitive skin dry and apply a light moisturiser to replace any lost suppleness and moisture.
